When I started to see these hologram nails, I was like, how? I stared deeply at www and found that it was done with an incredible fine powder. There is a lot of “hologram” nail polish, but this is called “holographic chrome powder” or “holographic mirror powder” in the nail world and it is not a conventional polishing agent. Here’s how mine were done…
Now, I have added some length to my nails. Later I realized that I personally like to look better on short nails. I might do holograms on my natural nails again at some point (look how cute they are at the bottom!).
So my nail polish was first removed. And apply gel polishing. You have to choose a certain foundation. I chose their pink because I don’t want these to be about the colors below. Below you can see how the base color affects the final look.
Next they add powder. It was painted with a sponge in this place, but when I saw the Internet, I found that some people did it with the little old-fashioned eyeshadow sponge stick.
Finally, add a clear gel coat on top.
Here you can see the handmade works of their various basic colors…
The first one is done with lavender/lavender below.
This one had white underneath.
These ones have pink underneath.
These have an orange/coral color underneath. I think these might be my favorite.
These have a darker purple underneath.
And these were mine with the pale pink.
By the way, this is the same process using the “chrome” instead of the “hologram chrome”, just for your mental records!
